The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has released the 2025 edition of its eGuide, an authoritative resource tailored for UK venues, organisers, exhibitors, and suppliers. Updated annually over the past 18 years, this edition refreshes 13 existing sections and introduces an important new chapter on "Dangerous Exhibits" to address emerging industry safety concerns.

Additional updates are on the horizon. A second wave of content, slated for December 2025, will expand the guide with dedicated sections on “Safeguarding and Child Protection” and “Medical Provision,” further enriching its scope.

In a notable move toward collaboration, AEV partnered with the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) and the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) to form a cross-association “eGuide User” group. This initiative aims to harmonise regulations across UK venues, ensuring consistency and clarity for users.

AEV’s Head of Commercial and Projects, Alden Arnold, highlighted the immense effort behind the guide’s upkeep and acknowledged the valuable contributions from industry professionals. The updated eGuide is now accessible via the AEV website, offering options to download sections individually or view changes with highlighted edits for easier reference.

With its enhanced content and collaborative editing process, the 2025 eGuide continues to serve as an indispensable tool for ensuring safe, compliant, and well-managed events across the UK.
