Global Events Industry Turns a New Page Major Deals Announced at International MICE Summit 2025

The International MICE Summit 2025 (IMS25) kicked off in Riyadh with a wave of headline-making announcements, signalling a shift in the global events landscape. Over 3,000 attendees far exceeding expectations gathered from around the world to witness 20 commercial deals and Memoranda of Understanding, collectively involving companies with more than USD 9 billion in combined revenues. Among the landmark developments, six prominent international events and exhibition firms confirmed plans to open new offices in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the kingdom’s ambition to emerge as a leading global hub for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE).

Other major highlights include the debut of flagship events such as BAUMA Saudi Arabia and MIPIM Arabia underscoring rising demand across heavy-machinery trade fairs and international real estate markets.

The summit also saw the launch of the 2025 Venue Infrastructure Report, revealing a 32% year-on-year increase in accredited venue capacity across the country.

These announcements mark a significant milestone in the global events industry one where international collaboration, infrastructure expansion, and strategic investments are redefining what large-scale events can achieve.
