Hilton Tokyo has initiated an ambitious renovation of its fourth-floor ballroom as part of a phased, multi-million-dollar investment aimed at revitalizing its Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions (MICE) offerings. Spanning 1,422 m², the redesigned space will deliver a modern, tech‑enhanced environment tailored for large‑scale events, set for completion in October 2025 .
The highlight is the iconic Kiku Ballroom, boasting 5‑metre ceilings and a capacity for 1,000 guests. It will be configurable into four sections (Kiku 1–4) to cater to both grand galas and intimate gatherings. Kiku 1–3 will accommodate up to 800 for theatre‑style setups, while Kiku 4 is ideal for up to 150 guests . A standout feature is Japan’s largest curved Barco LED wall (15×3 m) in Kiku 1, supported by a cutting‑edge digital audio system via Vega Project K.K. An additional LED display will enhance Kiku 3 .
Adjacent to the ballroom, a 490 m² pre-function space with panoramic Shinjuku skyline views is designed for registration, networking, exhibitions, and receptions. This area integrates seamlessly with the hotel’s lobby, guest rooms, restaurants, and parking via elevators and a spiral staircase. The redesign is spearheaded by Singapore’s Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), whose design blends Shinjuku’s letterpress and indigo‑dying heritage with sleek, modern finishes .
Once complete, Hilton Tokyo will offer an integrated event experience across its second, third, and fourth floors—strengthening its position as a premier MICE venue in Japan's capital.
