The Power of Events Launches London Hub for UK Schools Engagement Programme

The Power of Events (PoE), a not-for-profit established in 2023 to elevate awareness of the UK events sector, has unveiled its newest milestone: the London Hub, marking the programme’s largest regional expansion to date. This hub extends PoE’s award-winning Schools Engagement Programme, which has already impacted over 103,000 young people through more than 400 school visits across six regions, including the North West, East of England, Hertfordshire, Birmingham, South Coast, and Edinburgh.

Ambassador registration is now open on PoE’s Schools Engagement portal, allowing event professionals across London to volunteer just an hour to inspire students aged 11–17. The first wave of school visits is scheduled for September, aiming to reach over 50,000 young Londoners within the first year.

The initiative will officially launch with an exclusive reception in early September, where industry partners and volunteers can learn more, network, and celebrate the programme’s development. Justine Simons OBE, Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries, emphasized that London’s vibrant events culture provides a powerful platform for inspiring future talent, helping to develop the capital’s next generation of creative leaders.
